Save In DOS/Unidx/Mac text file formats. Using the triangle at the bottom of the document window you can now save your web pages in standard Mac, DOS, or Unix text file format. Though web browsers do not distinguish between formats, if you plan to give your web pages to someone on a DOS/Windows or Unix machine they may prefer having your pages in formats they can handle better.
Making Link From URL. If you select a URL (i.e. www.MiracleInc.com) and choose メMake Link From URLモ, World Wide Web Weaver (W4) will insert a link to that URL (i.e. <A HREF="HTTP: //www.MiracleInc.com">www.MiracleInc.com)
Improved Method Of Adding Colors. In the preferences window you can now define your own colors using hex codes, color percentages, decimals, or from a color wheel.
Improved Frames. Frames can now be added in BOTH the multi-view and single view documents.
Embedded objects. You can use the new Embed tag editor to add tags for plugins such as QuickTime movies and other media types.
The Embed Editor has the following options:
- SRC (Required)
Contains the URL of the file being embedded.
- Select... Button
If the file you are embedding is local, use this button to select it.
- History
Contains the last 20 URLs used in this editor. Selecting one will enter it into the SRC field.
- Display Movie Button
If the URL field specifies a QuickTime movie, clicking this button will play it.
- Extra Attributes
This field is where you put attributes that are not selectable anywhere else in this editor.
- Height
Specifies the height the embedded object will be displayed in the browser. Or in the case of an audio file, the controller height.
- Width
Specifies the width the embedded object will be displayed in the browser. Or in the case of an audio file, the controller width.
- HSpace
Specifies the amount of white space that will be drawn to the left and right of the embedded object in the browser.
- VSpace
Specifies the amount of white space that will be drawn at the top and bottom of the embedded object in the browser.
- Volume
Specifies the percentage of the system volume that the audio file or the audio track of the movie will be played at.
- Align
Specifies where the embedded object will be drawn in relation to text on the same line.
- Autostart
Specifies whether or not the embedded object will begin playing as soon as it is loaded in (sounds only).
- Controls
Specifies the type of controller that will be displayed for the embedded object. Does not apply to all types of objects.
- Loop
Specifies whether or not the embedded object will begin playing from the beginning once it ends.
Image Map Editor. You can add image maps (also called web maps) using the new Image Map tag editor. The Image Map Editor supports both client side and server side images. Note: The Image Map Editor requires the installation of QuickTime 2.5 or newer.
The Image Map Editor has the following options:
- SRC (Required)
Specifies the URL of the image that the map will be based on. Can not be typed in directly, must use the Selectノ Button.
- Select... Button
Opens a modified graphic editor where you can specify the image to use and all of it's attributes.
- Map Type (Required)
Specifies the type of map code the editor will produce. If you are not sure which type of maps your server supports, check with your web master. Either the Server or Client check box must be checked.
- Client
If this box is checked, clicking the OK Button will produce a Client Side Image Map.
- Server
If this box is checked, clicking the OK Button will produce a Server Side Image Map, specifically the type designated by the radio buttons below. If this box is not checked, both the NCSA and CERN radio buttons will be dimmed.
- NCSA
If this radio button is selected, a NCSA-type Server Side Image Map file will be produced and given the name
- CERN
If this radio button is selected, a CERN-type Server Side Image Map file will be produced and given the name
- Tools
These are used to draw the "Hot Spots" on the image.
- Rectangle
To use, select this radio button and then hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse. Once drawn, the rectangle can be moved or re-sized. To delete, click on the rectangle and press the delete key.
- Circle
To use, select this radio button and then hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse. Once drawn, the circle can be moved or re-sized. To delete, click on the circle and press the delete key.
- Polygon
To use, select this radio button and then click where you want the corners to be. To finish the polygon, click inside the circle surrounding the first dot. Once drawn, the points can be moved but no dots can added or removed. To delete, click on any of the dots in the polygon and press the delete key.
- Default URL (Required)
Specifies the URL of the page that will be displayed if the user clicks in the image but outside of all of the "Hot Spots".
- Selectノ Button
Can be used to select the default URL if it is a local file.
- URL
Specifies the URL of the page that will be displayed if the user clicks on the selected shape. If no shape is selected, this field will be blank.
- Select... Button
Can be used to select the selected shape's URL if it is a local file.
- Map Name (Required)
Used to relate the image to the map definition code or file.
Colored Tables is now an option with some of the new options added to the Table editor.
